Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HailPath mobile application and related services ("Service") operated by HailPath ("we", "our", or "us"). By using HailPath, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To use HailPath, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a valid TLC (Taxi & Limousine Commission) license to operate a NYC yellow cab.
• Provide accurate registration information, including your TLC license number.

We reserve the right to verify your TLC license status and suspend accounts that do not meet these requirements.

2. Subscription Plans

HailPath is available on a subscription basis with the following plans:

• Weekly: $4.99 per week
• Monthly: $14.99 per month
• Annual: $99.99 per year

All plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

3. Free Trial

New users are eligible for one 7-day free trial per Apple ID. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your selected subscription plan will begin and your payment method will be charged.

4. Billing & Cancellation

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.

5. Refund Policy

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the App Store. HailPath does not issue refunds directly. Apple's standard refund policy applies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use HailPath for any unlawful purpose or in violation of TLC regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service.
• Share your account credentials with other drivers.
• Submit false fare feedback to manipulate zone recommendations.
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service.

7. Service Availability

HailPath provides zone recommendations based on historical TLC trip data and live signals. We do not guarantee any specific number of fares, earnings, or uptime. Zone demand predictions are estimates — actual results may vary based on conditions outside our control.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, models, algorithms, and software within HailPath are the property of HailPath. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes as a licensed NYC yellow cab driver.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination, your access to HailPath will cease and any unused subscription time is non-refundable (subject to Apple's refund policy).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

HailPath is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that zone recommendations will result in increased fares.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HailPath shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost earnings or data.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of HailPath after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
